Brand New Home built in 1-2015
There is more to Thermal Imaging than pretty pictures. Here are some pictures of poorly installed In-Floor Hot Water Heating. In the first picture, you can see all the blue cold spots. The orange is the heat that is provided by the hot water in-floor heating system and should be uniform like the second picture. The second picture is the right way.
We were called in because the home had many cold areas. This brand new 6 month old home, just built in January 2015, had cold areas throughout the home, due to poor installation. Fewer pipes means less uniformity and that means less heat to keep you comfortable!
In floor heating is one of the best ways to heat your home, but if installed wrong or shortcuts are being taken during installation, it can be costly! When you have in-floor heating installed it is very expensive. Make sure it is installed properly and that you are getting what you pay for, while staying nice and warm on those cold days and saving money at the same time.
There are many uses for Thermal Imaging in our daily lives and can be very beneficial in many ways. Here is just one use that Black Hills Thermal Imaging and Black Hills Professional Home Inspections LLC uses in their home inspections. In most cases we can locate those problem areas in your home fast with no guess work.
