Around 1800 Thomas Wedgwood made the first reliably documented but unsuccessful attempt at capturing camera images in a permanent form in the mid 1820.

Nicéphore Niépce first managed to fix an image that was captured with a camera but it took at least eight hours or even several days of exposure in the camera were required and the earliest results were very crude.

Louis Daguerre went on to develop the daguerreotype photo process and was the first to publicly announce a viable photographic process. The daguerreotype required only a few minutes of exposure in the camera and produced clear & finely detailed results. Useable photography was introduced to the world in 1839, a date generally accepted as the birth year of practical & useable photography.

William Henry Fox Talbot made photography easier and more versatile. New materials reduced the required camera exposure time from minutes to seconds, and eventually to a small fraction of a second using film. In the mid-20th century, developments made it possible for amateurs to take pictures in natural color as well as in black-and-white

Flower2Digital Images, The commercial introduction of computer-based digital cameras in the 1990s revolutionized photography and has been constantly improved upon in several different ways and now photography has been taken to the air by drones with high resolution in a 4K format, with 5K being introduced being able to capture photographs with amazing resolution and imagery.

Block wall leakThermal Imaging, Infrared was discovered in 1800 by Sir William Herschel and has many uses in today’s world. The first advanced application of IR technology in the public section may have been a device to detect the presence of icebergs and steamships in 1913. Special lenses are used to capture infrared images and the Germanium lenses are also quite fragile, and often have a hard coating to protect against accidental contact. The higher cost of these special lenses is one reason why thermographic cameras are so costly.

Our thermal cameras are the best in the State and all of the Black Hills Areas. Crystal clear images provide crystal clear results & reports. Poor quality thermal cameras will send you on a wild goose chase. You can see the difference in or reporting methods. We provide the Black Hills with top of the line thermal cameras to offer the public a quality service with the best thermal imaging and videos for an accurate view. Cheap cameras provide misleading results. You can see the difference with our equipment.
